Dieting? Try Mindful Eating Instead

Dieting? Try Mindful Eating Instead

I’ve looked at countless ways to make dietary changes easier. Some tend to work really well and some don’t work at all. For the record, counting anything (calories or carbs) doesn’t work in the long run. Well, it might work at times, but it’s rarely a permanent change and only works if you possess an enormous pile of willpower.

Fermentation - feed your gut and change your health!

What comes to mind when you think of fermentation? Beer and wine? Sauerkraut? Forgotten leftovers in the back of the fridge?

Fermentation is an ancient food preservation technique that increases the digestibility, absorption and nutritional potency of foods. Health benefits of traditionally fermented foods are becoming increasingly understood, and frequent consumption can contribute to:

·         Increased digestive health

·         Enhanced absorption of nutrients in the everyday diet

·         Strengthened immune support.

Fortunately, increasing the amount of fermented foods in your diet is easier than ever! Not only are there an increasing amount of traditionally fermented whole-food options available in the mainstream, but fermented supplements, including, grab-and-go snacks such as bars, superfoods and protein powders have been introduced – changing the way people are nourished.
